Welcome to the Rotary Club of Stirling
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back.
When Rotary was established by Paul Harris and three others, each person came from a different walk of life. At our meeting today, we had an opportunity to learn about Lynda Brady as she presented her Classification Talk.
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program had humble beginnings in Belleville and we owe it all to a Belleville Rotarian who chose to get involved, Rotarian Bill MacKay Senior. Past District Governor (77/78) and Past President Belleville (70/71)
For our meeting on January 31st 2024, we were joined by Angela, a Special Olympic Mom and Coach, and her son Logan, Logan has successfully qualified to compete on the upcoming Provincal Championships. They provided some great insight into what it is like to compete and the unique sense of community and spirit that are shared by all those that participate in the Special Olympics.
Longtime Stirling Food Bank volunteer, Heather Bailey (center) accepts a cheque in the amount of $8,000.00 from Stirling Rotarian, Laurie Osborne, as Stirling Rotary Co-President, Bill MacKay looks on. The $8,000.00 represents the total proceeds from the local service club’s tenth annual Christmas online auction – a fundraiser dedicated to assist and support the Stirling Food Bank for the past decade.
