Projects

The Stirling Rotary Club has several projects on the agenda for the 2007-2008 year. It is the objective of the club to meet a service goal in each of the Rotary avenues of service. This year the club will complete the following projects:
Community:
The restoration and development of the Stirling Grand Trunk/CN Railway Station has been the primary project of the Stirling Rotary club for the last 5 years and will continue to be until it is completed. The Rotary Club is hoping to open the lower level hall to the public by the summer of 2008, in time for the town's 150 Anniversary Celebration. To complete the kitchen facilities, further fundraising is required. It is expected that this will take another year. For further information about this major project, please check out the following for more details:

Vocational:
Continue with remedial teaching assistance at the Stirling senior school.
Re-launch Who's Nobody Program at senior school for the Grade 7 classes. This program is very popular with the students who do acts of kindness for other people, animals or the environment and then tell their classmates about their experience. They dress the Nobody (aka Buddy) doll with an item that represents their activity and in the end the doll is transformed into a Somebody.
International
